U in a Fraternity?

I'm considering a couple of them after looking at one of them earlier today, and chatting with the guys that are members of Phi Beta Sigma. Of course they gave this view of how joining the brotherhood has changed their lives and yadda yadda yadda. I kinda just wanted to get a view from somebody else who doesn't just want my money. For those that have joined, what did you take from the experience and how does/did it benefit you?

I joined one that was non greek and I plan on joining greek in the fall.... it's a growing experience and I'm VERY thankful for it. The relationships and growth I've gone through within the organization has helped me to the HIGHEST degree and I know the one I choose in the fall is the one I want. I have been researching for a long while... but pick the RIGHT ONE.

i was in military during undergrad so I could not. I was going to during grad school where its just pay and interview (no pledge).
But as I saw other Bros achieving their goals and having families etc. it became obvious that MOST leave it alone as there is no real benefit. The ones that stay active beyond a few years out of school are usually the least accomplished.
But.
Some become active again later in life after they have achieved their goals. But the frat did not help at all.

I am apart of a non-d9 greek fraternity. i doubt that some org are after your money. i personally think that the paraphanella people are after your money after you join. because as a neo, you want eveything that has to do with your org. and the can charge what ever and how much... lol

but join the blue brotha of The sexi Sigmas it a once in a life time experience....

plus there alot of "us" apart of PBS

Don't waste your time. Especially on the Sigmas....I've seen what they do to their pledges, and if u anything like me, you'll probably end up fukkin a couple niggaz up, before u even start.


Matter of fact, don't even bother with the whole Fraternity bullshit.

Depends on the kind of person you are, AND what you're looking to get out of going greek.

Dont be a sigma tho. You don't wanna be mediocre on purpose, now do you.

Don't tell him not to be Sigma.... every fraternity does well it just depends on the region and which frat is the most active in their area/school. Cause I know down south Iotas are almost obsolete... but up north... Iotas GO HARD.

I'm thinking of joining myself... I've met a lot of people and depinding on who you know it helps greatly. Say you up and move to some random ass city,. well you have your Greek fam to help out. I agree with Denard about the older and least accomplished blah blah.---@ Track, do you be shimming you seem like that type of nigga?
